Test Analyst – West Midlands – 30-35K

 

Ivy Blu are looking for a well established Test Analyst to join an award winning and rapidly growing client as part of their IT team at their head office in the West Midlands. Duties / Responsibilities

 

  • Analysing and designing test scenarios which will most effectively outline the requirements of the company
  • Get involved with the development of User Stories by converting them into highly specified Test Cases
  • Prepare and deploy any Test Scripts, constantly keeping track of their progress and raising defects for any area hat may not be functioning as designed
  • Evaluate the system in terms of Performance and Reliability
  • Contributing to projects in various different ways including; resolving design issues, Qaulity Assurance and analysing test feedback
  • Contribute to PI planning, Backlog refinement, Sprint Demo’s and Test Script Reviews
  • Any experience with Automated testing (Ideally with Selenium) is desired but not essential

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to perform analysis and design for projects including impact analysis on existing systems for any required solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and work under pressure to deliver a high quality of solutions
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to provide technical leadership
  • Training and mentoring of any less experienced team members
  • SQL experience is essential
  • Experience with SQL, SharePoint, and Visual Studio
  • experience with Selenium and Performance Testing through JMeter would be beneficial but not essential

 

Previous experience with a solid testing background is ideal in this role, along with an ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing. The right candidate must also have an understanding of the SDLC in Agile Methodology Environment. On top of this, you will have strong proven customer focussed experience.
