IT Systems Engineer – 25 – 30K – West Midlands

Company

Recent and continuing expansion of the technical team for project delivery to existing and recently won contracts creates a new dedicated role for an IT Systems Engineer to support the growth of the client. The successful applicant would work in an enthusiastic environment amongst many other skilled project, application and support engineers. This position is full-time and offers exciting and challenging tasks.

Responsibilities

This is the ideal role for a talented graduate/candidate with a good technical skill-set, including key Microsoft software and core networking skills. Our client strive to create an atmosphere which encourages, rewards and motivates staff at all levels within the organisation, but within a relaxed and open working environment. We are based in modern offices in an accessible location.

As the IT Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily management of the existing IT and telecoms infrastructure within the organization’s headquarters in the West Midlands, and a number of remote offices and workers throughout the United Kingdom. Furthermore, the organisation’s desire to extend the current infrastructure to provide more extensive services internally and externally to customers requires the IT System Engineer to be fully involved in the design and deployment of these extended services. You will also be required to provide support to other team members and groups within the company. The ability to liaise with both internal staff and external suppliers is essential to provide an excellent infrastructure to the internal and external users.

Requirements

This position requires good technical and interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to communicate effectively. A flexible, ‘can do’ approach is also important in this team focused culture. Additionally, the position requires a self-motivated, problem-solving mind set with the desire to adapt to other skills during any unpredicted downtime. Finally, the applicant should be comfortable working within a small team, or individually and ideally possess a valid full UK driving license.
