The Role:

You love social media and like to create a real buzz around student circuits. You’ll be creative and have a keen eye for detail, both in terms of copy and in terms of design. You’ll manage student and institution-facing accounts, making sure that their stories get read and get as much engagement as possible. To that end, you’re also keen on reporting and looking at data, to feed into the wider social media strategy.


Key tasks will include:

  • Work with the social team to create a social media strategy to increase organic traffic and convert visitors into users
  • Produce a wide range of content, including copy, visuals, video and infographics
  • Distribute content across a wide range of relevant channels, matching format with output and audience
  • Manage the social media calendar, working closely with their digital team (including editorial, designers, email marketers, regional teams)
  • Develop online communities for specific groups of interest in the higher education sector
  • Track trends and social conversations about the sector and their events
  • Monitor and track one of their websites activity and engagement, and conduct regular competitor analysis
  • Support & provide inputs on regional content strategy, helping build larger brand presence in local media using content
  • Share your insights from social to shape the content strategy
  • Draft social media reports: monthly and weekly


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Social media marketing experience and/or writing experience and/or digital event marketing experience – minimum 2 years
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hands on experience using social media for delivering organic growth
  • Proven work experience in curating content and delivering social engagement
  • Strong knowledge of analytical tools, including web analytics, and ability to interpret data to drive decisions
  • Understanding of international markets a plus
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite or other CMS tool a plus
  • Photoshop for basic image editing a plus
