We are looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable Field Service Engineer to work with one of our leading and prestigious clients. Our client is a recognized expert within the print industry and are one of the leading service providers to pre-press and digital wide format inkjet printing industries.
The Field service engineer will be responsible to fault find, repair, overhaul, service and commission a complete range of high specification electro-mechanical, machine tools. If you have experience gained within precision engineering, working on electro-mechanical machines then this is a fantastic opportunity with a leading brand.
The post is for 2 years, but with realistic opportunities to continue afterwards into a complete permanent position.
Southend on Sea area – on site support 40 hours / week Mon – Fri
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain products in the defined area of responsibility
- Establish and maintain communication and partnership with customers, team members, and business contacts.
- Ensure all activities are performed following the available instructions and information, within the quality system framework
- Report all relevant service activity, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the service system
- Special projects and Field Corrective Actions, including preparation, planning and execution.
Required Experience & Skills
- Must have an in – depth knowledge of fault finding, diagnosing and repairing complex electrical problems covering both old and new machine applications
- Excellent hands on abilities working with electrical machines / machine tools, preferably printers
- Excellent hands on abilities working with electrical machines / machine tools
- Able to work autonomously but within a defined support structure
- Ideally some mechanical capabilities though electrical bias is the strong desire
- Experience in IT / Print industry would be an advantage
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Strong communication skills
- Must have a can-do attitude towards identifying and rectifying complex electrical and mechanical problems
- Preferably educated in electrical / IT / Print / mechatronics engineering
