Senior Account Manager


Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and reputable Senior Account Manager to join a successful PR agency based in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience within the PR industry and can show evidence of a strong portfolio and is confident and can bring a creative approach to manage and grow client accounts. A strong digital background and experience in marketing would also be beneficial.

This role will also require willingness to travel within the UK and overseas due to clients being based world-wide.


Responsibilities and Duties


The main duties of the Senior Account Manager include:

  • Maintaining relationships with clients and representing the company at client meetings including face-to-face meetings at client locations or events where necessary – nationally and internationally
  • Developing client relations at a senior level, providing high-quality professional expertise and consultancy
  • Overseeing the work of all team members, monitoring delivery of client campaigns to ensure quality and accuracy of delivery, assuming responsibility for the development of team members and sharing experience with other account teams
  • Working across all accounts to identify opportunities and collaborations, adding value for client investment
  • Acting as a member of the senior management team and participating in the management and development of the company in line with business strategy
  • Actively participating in new business development from initial sales and marketing activities to preparation of proposals and contract negotiations, attending new business pitches and managing contract negotiations where appropriate.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience and success in a PR management role
  • Confidence, creativity and flair
  • A good degree
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (essential)
  • A highly organised approach, with the ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and motivate others
  • Strong media relations skills
  • Strongly customer-focused, with the ability to juggle conflicting customer needs
