Research Manager / Senior Research Team Leader

 

Our client is looking for a Team Leader or a manager who has experience in report writing at a good level. Ideally some equity research experience and experience in mentoring staff.

 

Position Overview
They are looking to recruit a Research Manager in their London office, to expand their research coverage whilst ensuring the high quality of  research is maintained. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, you would take responsibility for overseeing the research analysis / report writing function for the department.

 

Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the main responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

Engage in analysis of qualitative/quantitative interview responses to produce insightful research reports;
Present data in the form of Excel Charts and written reports;
Assist and support product specialist, sales, and account management teams in demonstrating the research value-add to clients;
Answer client queries on data;
Update geographical coverage and survey questionnaires based on company and industry news and developments;
Identify and research new companies to cover;
Keep track of news flow on specific companies including reviewing companies earning releases
Manage, train and develop a team of research analysts and associates; and
Be responsible for quality checking the content of all Intelligence research reports

 

Skills

 

To be successful in this role you should have:
Exposure to buy-side public equities funds
Advanced knowledge of Excel;
Excellent report writing capabilities including presentation, formatting, editing, producing charts and graphics;
Private and confidential 2
An excellent eye for detail, quality and consistency, to ensure the highest possible professional standards for reports;
A proven track record in managing and completing multiple projects to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining quality;
Experience with managing a small team, including identifying training needs and providing feedback to team members t ensure they achieve performance targets
Be driven and ambitious with the motivation to take on additional responsibilities should the opportunity arise; and
Experience working with investment banking, consulting or buy side organisations is desirable but not essential.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor Degree from a reputable university
Eligible to live and work in the UK
