Midweight UI Developer

 

We at Ivy Blu currently have a Midweight UI Developer role in Central London for a fast growing client who are looking to add to their development team. They are looking for someone who has experience with HTML, CSS and Git experience.

Responsibilities within the role of UI Developer will include some or all of the following:

  • Helping out on projects (agile or otherwise) as a Midweight UI Developer;
  • Create clear and friendly user interfaces
  • Write up clean, modular and test driven code
  • Test compatibility with various browsers

 

Essential:

  • Experience of working within an agile development team (preferably web development)
  • Proven experience developing sites and apps using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience using Git and associated tools e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of Responsive Web Design
  • Able to work closely with developers, analysts and clients in a highly collaborative environment
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Understanding of agile software practices

 

Desired:

  • Adept at turning wireframes and mockups into HTML/CSS with a working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of modern front-end technologies – React, Angular, Sass, Webpack, NPM, Gulp
  • Understanding of how lint and test tools can be leveraged to maintain code quality/consistency
  • Working experience of content management systems, preferably Oracle WebCenter products
  • An active interest in the front-end development industry (particularly within an agile environment) – (for example self-study, reading/writing blogs, etc.)
