Infrastructure Engineer – Basingstoke – 40-49K
Ivy Blu are searching for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a fantastic company based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
We are looking for a flexible go-getter with a strong understanding of technology along with the commercial aspects of delivering both a solution and a service in a role.
This role is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. If you are looking to apply, please take into consideration that you will be required to commute to Basingstoke every day, however the role does include UK Wide support.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Creation of Technical scope to deploy Systems
- 3rd line support/helpdesk for deployed solutions
- Implementation HPE Solutions from 3par/Nimble, Servers/Blade/Synergy, Brocade/HPE Fibre channel, HPE Storeonce Backup solutions, VMware Enterprise plus – Storage, Server, Virtualisation
- Technical Writeup of deployed solutions
- Future Role growth – Cloud migrations , Security Solutions , Network Migrations / implementations, Pre-sales etc
- Working across the country to deliver solutions
Technical Skills Required
- Enterprise Server experience with Blade (Cisco, Dell or HPE) is essential
- Enterprise SAN Storage experience such as Fibre Channel – 3PAR, Storeonce, Brocade or Nimble would be ideal
- Experience in Visualisation with VMware is essential
- Extensive knowledge in Technical Document Writing
Desirables
- Veeam Enterprise plus
- Microsoft AD and windows servers
- Kaspersky AV (VMware edition)
- Understanding of Prince
- Understanding of ITIL
- Ideally some Networking and Routing such as Cisco, HP Procurve (aruba) , Cisco ASA , ASR
- Cloud experience of working with AWS, Azure or Google – Office 365
- Windows Server experience working with Servers and Domains and Exchange
