We are working with a very large cosmetics business, who are looking to add an experienced Front End Developer to their team. You will be responsible for implementing all front-end development work on their eCommerce site including new front-end layouts and features. A key part of this role is working closely within the Marketing Team to implement front-end changes to their website based on CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) and UX (User Experience )improvements.

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and implement front-end improvements to the website to optimise performance
  • Develop new WordPress templates to improve on the UX, look and feel of the brand
  • Build all email HTML for all marketing materials, e.g. cart recovery emails, and transaction emails for our eCommerce site
  • Implement A/B testing and to action the front-end changes
  • Work with our in-house Digital Systems manager to implement new functionality to the brand
  • Work during design, build, and testing stages to ensure build is delivered on time to the required company standard
  • Work with our in-house Graphic Designer in implementing design

 

Experience:

 

  • Proven HTML, CSS, Javascript, and JQuery
  • Confident using Adobe package [Photoshop, Illustrator]
  • Experienced using WordPress and building new WordPress templates [essential requirement]
  • Experience in building responsive websites
  • Practised building HTML emails
  • Experience in Magento themes and plug ins [essential requirement]
  • Familiar with Google Analytics [essential requirement]

  • Keep abreast of website development trends and changes within the industry
  • Excellent interpersonal communication
  • Confident in working with teams across the business and externally.
  • A passion for UX (user experience) and website design
  • Highly self-motivated and well organized. Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong front-end development skills
  • Keen eye for design that can translate in to front-end web development

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BSC Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience
