Field Service IT Support Engineer – 25 – 32k – Essex
Our client is looking for an experienced Field Service IT Support Engineer, they are an established IT Support and Consultancy business, their aim is to focus on being the very best in our field through hard work and constant learning – staying bang up to date with the latest technologies and options. Their workplace is fast paced but always interesting. They work as an extension of their clients’ businesses becoming well integrated in their operations and taking the time to understand how they work.
Key objectives would be
Responsible for handling support of service requests which relate to all technology including; workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.
Provide on-site support for client networks and applications across the UK.
Provide remote and telephone support for client networks and applications.
Full CLEAN UK/EU Driving Licence
At least 24-months IT experience supporting end-users
Windows 7,8 & 10 Administration & Support
Active Directory Administration, new user setups (User Accounts, O365 Mailboxes)
Networking knowledge covering ADSL Broadband, Local Area Networks, Switches & VLan’s
Ability to create CAT5e cables, understand cabling needs for IT/Telephone System Jobs
Ability to multitask, manage own workload and react quickly to urgent issues. This is absolutely essential.
Strong organisational, communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to own a problem.
Ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies. A genuine interest in emerging technologies is required.
Able to install, configure, upgrade and relocate PC hardware, software and print devices.
Experience of Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, Office 2003 – 2016 problem solving.
Experience of PC hardware troubleshooting and problem solving.
Microsoft Office 365 experience an advantage.
Basic Administration of Exchange Server and mobile email technologies.
Starting salary of £25-32k per annum depending on experience and qualifications, with review after 6 months and annually thereafter.

Our Office is based in Barking Essex. You will be based in Barking and required to visit clients across the country.
