Email Manager / Email Campaign Manager – London – 30K – Top UK Brand!

Our client is a top central London retail business, they are going from strength to strength and they are looking for an Email Manager.

The purpose of this role is to drive UK and International Ecommerce sales and profitability to deliver sustained growth and successful commercial performance. You will devise promotional activities and customer communications for the email channel to ensure sales targets are met and the number of active customers continues to grow.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Support the Customer Acquisition and Retention manager in the campaign management process with emails that deliver email KPI’s
  • Advise on segmented trading strategies using customer sales and behavioural data to communicate the right products and promotions to the right customers at the right time to maximise sales and margin performance
  • Plan and brief all email campaigns into the design team and ensuring that promotions are scheduled and delivered to brief
  • Maintain lifecycle communication programmes to drive continuous improvements to customer retention and lifetime value.
  • Support the Customer Acquisition and Retention manager with ongoing analysis, innovation, optimisation of our email programme
  • Understand how all aspects of the marketing programme affect email deliverability and engagement success
  • Measure and report on email performance
  • Create and deploy automated welcome and win-back campaigns
  • Maximise other opportunities for triggered campaigns
  • Test SMS as a direct communication channel for marketing activity

Key Competencies 

  • Strong commercial awareness and trading focus.
  • Ecommerce technologies and analytical tools, including Google Analytics.
  • Team player, with the ability to work alongside, influence and collaborate to get the best outcome for the business
  • Flexible and adaptive to maximise commercial opportunities
  • The ideal candidate will have strong experience in digital marketing with a specialisation in email marketing and automation with 2/3 years minimum relevant experience
  • You will have worked in an ecommerce environment and have experience of using a CRM platform
  • Have an understanding of segmentation and personalisation and how these practices might be used in improving customer communications
  • Experience creating lifecycle email campaigns and can demonstrate success at creating long-term customer value from such campaigns

The ideal person for this role should provide the customer with the right messages at the right time to ensure they purchase on line and as a result become a new customer or remain a customer of the company.
