Digital Marketing Executive, West Midlands – Up to 35K

The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for the strategy, tactical planning and maintenance for online marketing channel activities, across all the divisions. Working closely with Digital, PR and Creative agencies, distribution partners, marketing team members and other departments to drive the volume of high-quality leads, build the sales pipeline and help achieve overall business goals.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver marketing activities for online channels, working closely with external agencies and other marketing team members to help drive growth in lead generation, brand awareness and customer engagement
  • Develop, define and take ownership for the online channel strategy across all brands
  • Plan, develop and track website activities across the various UK and International website portfolio, making recommendations for enhancements and improvements that will deliver improved ROI
  • Develop the strategy for pay per click (PPC) advertising
  • Plan, execute and monitor the performance of email marketing campaigns
  • Write web content and optimise to drive continuous SEO improvements and improve site rankings
  • Plan, develop, and monitor content delivery across social platforms  to generate leads and enhance customer engagement
  • Identify new digital marketing trends and determine any new technologies the company can adopt
  • Regular reporting on KPI’s including lead generation activity and online brand engagement across all online platforms
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Marketing team in terms of the planning and execution of offline campaigns – copy writing, proofing and fact checking as well as supporting the delivery of exhibitions, creative projects and traditional press advertising
  • Assist team with ad-hoc tasks when needed

Experience (Essential/Desirable) 

  • 3-5 years’ previous experience in digital marketing (in-house/agency)
  • Experience of Google Analytics & Google AdWords (Essential)
  • Experience of website Content Management systems (CMS) – Essential
  • Experience with social media management platforms (e.g. Hootsuite or similar) – Essential
  • Knowledge of traditional SEO and PPC tactics – Essential
  • Excellent communication skills, with a good standard of English – Essential
  • Ability to write proficiently and present clearly – Essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint – Essential
  • Knowledge of email applications (MailChimp or equivalent) – Essential
  • Experience of exhibition and event co-ordination – Desirable
  • Knowledge of HTML/JavaScript – Desirable
  • Experience of Adobe CS applications – Desirable
  • Experience working with CRM systems – Desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages – Essential

 

 

Qualifications (Essential/Desirable)

  • Minimum A-level qualification or equivalent (Essential)
  • Marketing or business-related degree, or similar qualification (Desirable)
  • CIM marketing qualification or similar (Desirable)

 

 

General and Specialist Knowledge

  • Prior knowledge working In B2B marketing environments, ideally manufacturing or healthcare related would be desirable
  • Prior knowledge working in Health & Safety or Fire Safety sectors would also be desirable

 

Special Requirements

  • Full driving license, car driver for business travel when necessary (i.e. agency visits, events etc)
