Job Description

Job Purpose:

• The Marketing Communications Executive will help to plan, co-ordinate and maintain a range of marketing activities across all divisions. Working closely with digital, PR and creative agencies, partners, distributors, marketing team members and other departments to help generate high quality leads, build the sales pipeline and help achieve overall business goals.

Key Accountabilities (What the job role is accountable for to include basic duties that the job holder will be required to undertake)

 

• Assist with the delivery of marketing activities for online and offline channels, working closely with external agencies and other
marketing team members to help drive growth in lead generation, brand awareness and customer engagement
• Plan, develop and track website activities across the various UK and International websites
• Write and optimise web content to drive continuous SEO improvements
• Oversee pay per click (PPC) ad management in line with digital agency
• Plan, prepare, deploy and track performance of email marketing campaigns
• Plan, develop, and monitor content delivery across social platforms (Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn etc) to enhance online engagement
and lead generation
• Support the Marketing team in respect to the planning and execution of campaigns – including offline activities; copy writing, proofing
and fact checking as well as supporting the delivery of exhibitions and press advertising
• Identify new trends in digital marketing and evaluate new technologies for adoption
• Regular reporting on KPI’s including lead generation activity and online brand engagement across all online platforms
• Assist with the day to day running of the marketing department, as required

Person Specification

 

Skills/abilities and Aptitude

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent organisational skills

 

Experience (Essential/Desirable) Any previous experience required to undertake the role, e.g. experience a managing team etc.

 

• 1-2 years’ previous experience in a similar capacity (in-house/agency)
• Previous experience of Google Analytics & Google AdWords is essential
• Previous experience of website Content Management systems is essential
• Previous experience with social media management platforms is essential (e.g. Hootsuite or similar)
• A knowledge of traditional SEO and PPC tactics is essential
• Excellent communication skills, with a good standard of English which is essential
• The ability to write proficiently and present clearly is essential
• A solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint software packages is essential
• A knowledge of email applications is desirable (MailChimp or equivalent)
• Previous experience of exhibition co-ordination is desirable
• Knowledge of HTML/JavaScript is desirable
• Experience of Adobe CS applications is desirable
• Experience working with CRM systems is desirable
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office applications.

 

Qualifications (Essential/Desirable)

 

• Minimum A-level qualification or equivalent (Essential)
• Marketing or business-related degree, or similar qualification (Desirable)
• CIM marketing qualification or similar (Desirable)

 

General and Specialist Knowledge

• Prior knowledge working In B2B marketing environments, ideally manufacturing or healthcare related would be desirable
• Prior knowledge working in Health & Safety or Fire Safety sectors would also be desirable

 

Special Requirements

 

Anything is outside the areas above, and is required to undertake the role, e.g. the ability to travel nationally, car driver etc.
• Full driving license, car driver for business travel when necessary (i.e. agency visits, events etc)
