Development Team Lead – South West – 30 – 40K

They have a talented team of technology professionals, who are passionate about relevant and future proofed IT. They aim to deliver an excellent service to a diverse range of customers.

 

Our client is now on the lookout for a talented and creative web developer to join the growing team. This candidate will play an important role in the public launch of their SaaS product; as well as lead the development of a number of bespoke projects,

 

Role Description

 

  • Planning and scheduling of work packages and team members
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of work packages to customers
  • Ensure produced development work is tested and functions as required across all platforms (quality control)
  • Take responsibility for delivered work/projects and ensure customer happiness
  • Be the key architect of our web and app development projects and lead their implementation by example
  • Ensure maintenance of existing code base
  • Ensure development practices and processes are efficient
  • Apply knowledge and experience to ensure that we are following best practices and making things the best they can be
  • Ensure all time spent on projects is recorded accurately

 

Person Requirements

 

  • A critical eye for web design and application development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on Team Leadership
  • Wide ranging experience of programming and development in a commercial environment
  • An understanding of and desire to use good software engineering practices
  • Ability to solve problems, overcome obstacles and take things to completion
  • Strong CSS, HTML and Javascript skills with underlying programming knowledge that can be applied to any language.
  • Time management ability and awareness
