We are looking for a new Database Administrator to join a well-established IT Development team for a Sunday Times best company to work for. Over the last two years my client has reaped the rewards of having an in-house software team which has led to growing demand from other parts of the business for new internal and external facing systems.

 
As a new Database Administrator you will be joining the company at an exciting time as new upcoming projects will be essential to the future operation of the business.

 

 
The ideal Database Administrator will have skills in the following:

 

• Have a computing related degree or relevant work experience
• SQL Server Reporting Services
• SQL Server Integration Services
• Database Design
• Database Management
• Microsoft SQL Server
  • T-SQL
  • Stored Procedures
  • Performance Tuning
• Experience in working in an Agile environment

 

 

Key responsibilities as a Database Administrator will include:

 

• Assisting in database design
• Updating and amending existing databases
• Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
• Monitoring database efficiency
• Implementing disaster recover
• Sustaining the security and integrity of data
• Training colleagues in best practices
