AWS Cloud Engineer – 45K – Remote Working

Ivy Blu are looking for a confident AWS Cloud Engineer to be a part of the infrastructure team within and award – winning company in the West Midlands. The right candidate will be using the latest software packages on the market to enhance and maintain the company’s product. The Candidate will have the opportunity of working remotely.
AWS Cloud Engineer will directly report to the Head of Infrastructure, the primary role of the Python Developer is to be responsible for tooling and automation, troubleshooting, maintaining and expanding company’s AWS Cloud Infrastructure, making sure all infrastructure requests are logged, scoped and justified. Role and Responsibilities-
- Responsible for tooling and automation, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding company’s AWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Migrating services from a Physical datacentre to AWS
- Building tools for automation, migration and tasks
- Minimize service interruptions by responding to incidents and employing a pro-active approach to avoiding future incidents
- To plan, document and thoroughly test infrastructure scenarios before any change is implemented
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and best practices
- Deliver first class, maintainable and scalable software
- Be a team player, collaborate, provide constructive feedback, help create a world class engineering environment.
Required Experience and Skills –
- Must have 2-3 years of experience as AWS Cloud Engineer
- Evidence of building automation tools
- Good working knowledge of AWS Cloud and Infrastructure-As-Code technologies such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
- Experience with CloudFormation
- Sound knowledge of Cloud Security features and models
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-a-code processes, techniques and patterns
- Knowledge of Python is advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised and focused on quality of work delivered
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organisation
- Committed to continual process improvement
- Aptitude and willingness to be flexible
- Teamwork and Organisation skills
